chapter 1

Darkness
Darkness can come out of the most innocent places. Evil hides behind some of the most unstained places. And so, once upon a time there lived a man and his wife. Don’t all fairy tales start something like that? This man, named John, came home early one day and found a friend’s car in the driveway. “Odd,” thought John, recognizing the car instantly. “I wasn’t expecting Jarrod.” Puzzling over the possible reasons, he fancied he saw a pair of horns curling up midair inside his friend’s car. He looked once more and saw nothing. As he got closer to the steps of his staircase he could hear the screams louder and as if they were more of pleasure then pain. Right when he got to the door he felt something touch him like as if it was some kind of hand that had touched his shoulder. Something very cold and with claws.
Then he turned the knob of his door and he saw something that no husband should ever see or hope to see. His wife and best friend were both in the same bed having sex and at that moment something deep inside of his brain like a wire was snapped with something sharp. “YOU FUCKING HARPY HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME, I DID EVERYTHING I COULD FOR YOU HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME I LOVED YOU AND I WANTED TO SPEND THE REST OF THE WORLD WITH YOU. AND YOU WERE MY BEST FRIEND LIKE A BROTHER HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME’’ said John to his wife and friend. “ No, no, no it wasn’t like that way man your wife just had a heart attack, and I was just helping her out” said Jarrod.” “Yeah honey that’s all it was and it’s quite the opposite he saved my life“, said John’s wife. “NO YOU LIERS YOU BOTH DESERVE TO DIE AND ROT IN HELL”. He charges both of them with the intent of murder in his eyes and strangles his wife and while that was being done his friend tries to fight him or do something but with incredible strength John was able to push down Jarrod. Then John blacks out after he pushed his friend away, a few moments later he awakes in a small cell and sees some figure across from him.
It’s his old friend Jarrod, “Ugh what happen where are we” said John in a half dazed and confused sounding voice. “We are here because you are a murder and I am here because I tried to save someone from a monster, LIKE YOU” with that being said Jarrod charged him with the intent of killing him however a guard stops them. “HEY YOU TWO DAMN FUCK HEADS STOP THE MONKEY PLAY BEFORE I BEAT YOUR HEADS IN” roared the guard. “Why the hell am I here please explain this to me, how did I go from being in my house on day and the next day I am here” said John. “One day son you been here for about two months, and you killed your wife you sick fuck, hell you even admitted it in court with a smile that you killed her. We just recently switched you two because you both begged and pleaded that we put you two together in the same room”. “What that doesn’t make sense why would I ask for that, when I tried killing this son of a bitch” said Jarrod. “ Don’t know myself but you asked for him and he asked for you so deal with it, now it’s time for lights out and for me to go home, now be good fuck heads or I will be your worst nightmare“.
As the lights turned off John noticed the same silhouette of a horned beast as he did that one day in the corner of his eye. As he tried to go to bed he heard someone or something whisper “I am going to kill you”. He thought nothing of it and went to bed, however a few hours later he heard it again this time in a louder voice “I am going to kill you”. He awoke and in a panic looked around and saw nothing but darkness. He tried to go back to sleep however he heard the voice again but this time it was like it was screaming at him “I AM GOING TO KILL YOU”. He woke up sweating in a panic tried to find out what was in his cell making that sound but it wasn’t in there. To try and calm his self down he grabbed a cigarette from his pocket and he grabbed a match from the sink and after he lit it he saw something that had shocked and scared every fiber of his body. He saw a giant red demon in his friends bed, John didn’t know what to do he knew one thing though, and that was he had to kill it. He tore out a spring from under his bed and proceeded to strangle it to death until it stopped breathing.
After that John went to bed soundly and didn’t wake up until he heard someone screaming when he opened his eyes he saw Jarrod died and that the guard was the one that was screaming. As it turned out that John was the one who killed Jarrod mistaking him as the demon and as the guards took him to put him into a isolation cell all John could see was different horned demons and from what he saw he knew why he was put on this planet, why he went to this hell hole and that mission was to kill every demon around him starting with this place. As they put him into the new cell he grabbed one of the guards gun without them knowing it and said to himself “ these fools wanted to send me into the darkness however I will be the one to send myself there and kill their king,”. With that being said he shoot himself and fell to the ground unconscious, the guards rushed in and when they tried to move him, his shadow had something different about it. When the guards saw it they both stood still from fear. The shadow had a halo…… of blood.
